Arjun is from Punjab
Arjun Babuta was born on 24 January 1999 in Punjab. He was born in a middle class family of Jalalabad. His village is on the India-Pakistan border. He completed his early education from here and later moved to Chandigarh with his family. Arjun’s father worked in the Indian Railways. He got his BA Honors degree from here. The college from where Arjun studied is DAV College.
first in the family
There was no tradition of shooting in Arjun’s family but he was interested in this sport from an early age. Following the path shown by his father, he contacted Indian Olympic shooter Abhinav Bindra in Chandigarh. However, his shooting career started from Punjab University itself.
First success came in the year 2013
According to media reports, on the suggestion of Abhinav Bindra’s coach Colonel JS Dhillon, he started preparing for the 10 meter air rifle category. In 2013, he got his first medal in the Chandigarh State Shooting Championship.
Be a part of the national team
After this, Arjun got many medals due to his performance and in the year 2015, he joined the National Shooting Team. He used to practice for ten hours a day. The result of his hard work was that in the year 2016, he was selected for the Junior National Rifle Team and he got a chance to show his prowess at the international level.

Arjun’s career was on the rise and he scored his career best score of 632.4 points in 2016. After this, he kept scoring well every time. However, in 2018, he had to take a break from the game due to several health problems. He continued to play at the domestic level even then.
He has been a part of the national team for years
Arjun Babuta has been in the national team since 2016. In the year 2023, Arjun won a silver medal in the 10 meter air rifle event and made it to the Paris Olympics. Currently, he takes coaching under Team India’s coach Deepali Deshpande. Talking about education, Arjun Babuta has also studied journalism from Lovely University.
